On President’s Day 1993, Scott Mazar walked into The Works carrying George Washington’s head (made from Legos) and a heliostat.  

This was an epic moment in our history: this was a prototype of The Works' first exhibit.  And it launched the first of many, many meetings of The Works' all-star, all volunteer crew of exhibit inventors and builders.  The Works simply would not have come into existence without these talented people.
